Everyone is watching their bank account these days. You do not need to break the bank to have your dream wedding. There are ideas you can use that will allow you to save money on your wedding plans, but still make your special day look and feel like a dream.
1) Use only one location.
Churches cost money, receptions halls cost money and limousines cost money. One way that you can reduce costs on all three is to have the ceremony and the reception in the same location. If you would like a religious wedding, then check into churches that have large halls available for the reception. If you are not having a religious ceremony, then consider having the ceremony and reception in the same hall.
2) Find shortcuts on services.
Before highly advanced digital cameras, professional photogoraphers were needed to capture a wedding on film. But with the features available on digital cameras, you can have almost anyone take your wedding pictures for a significantly lower cost. If you know an amateur photographer, then ask him to photograph your wedding for a reduced fee. Instead of a disc jockey for the reception, just load up a digital music player and let it play all night long through a rented sound system.
3) Make your own favors.
Making your own favors adds a personal touch to your wedding and saves you a lot of money as well. Make it a project for the bridal party to do a day or two before the wedding.
Save money on your big day while still having the wedding you want. All it takes is some planning.
